My Sea Kayak (B)log
Welcome to my Sea Kayak (B)log: saturnbull.co.uk. I log all my Sea Kayak trips on saturnbull rather than use a paper log. This is also makes a good repository for some of my photographs, taken whilst out and about on the water (I've been known to take a few!). I hope you find it interesting and informative. If not then tough!
2015-03-08 Filey to Cayton Bay and back (in the rain)
On the drive up to Filey, early on Sunday morning the weather looked really promising. The sunrise was spectacular, lighting up the scenery to the point that if you had taken a photograph, people would say it was photo-shopped, the contrast and strength of the light was so strong. What also made for a pleasant...Continue reading→

After a very early start (I left home at 05:40) I arrived at Anglesey, just in time to see Rob emerging from his car at 08:30, parked at Porth Dafarch. Rob had traveled over the night/morning before, from Lincoln and spent what was left of the night sleeping in his car under two duvets. He...Continue reading→

I contacted my paddle buddy earlier this week asking if he fancied a paddle on Thursday. I expected him to yes and lets meet up and have a play at Newark Weir. But instead he came back with why don't we do something on the North East coast. Well that sounded like a good plan...Continue reading→

2014-07-26 Porth Dafarch to Four Mile Bridge, Holy Island
Having not Sea kayaked since May due to illness, I decided there was only one way to find out if I was now fit enough to return to sea kayaking... Meeting up with my paddle buddy at Four Mile Bridge and leaving a car behind, we set off to Porth Dafarch. The plan was to...Continue reading→
