Rhoscolyn towards Trearddur (Porth Diana) and back with Phil Clegg, Andy, Khrista and Annette. The wind was slightly NE, force 4 gusting F5.
We went out to the Beacon and had a play in the tide race against the wind. A few surf waves were to be had downwind, but then required a huge effort paddling back into the wind. It was probably approaching F6 out at the beacon.
As we rock-hopped around the Beacon Krista had a close encounter with a seal that was very curious. It certainly made her day.
On the way towards Trearddur we did lots of exploring, caving, etc.. Stopped for lunch in Porth Diana, before heading back into the wind to Rhoscolyn. We did lots of cliff hugging to shelter as much as possible from the wind and tide. Once again fantastic light illuminating the rocks.
Another great trip.
