It had hardly stopped raining all day. Consequently I had been inside for much of the day and was desperate to get out. It was HCC Club night, so I messaged Gordon to find out what plans were afloat for the evenings paddle. Cutting the story short, everyone except Gordon and Steve had dropped out as it was either too wet, or in "famous" Kate's case, her wet suit was still wet from the week before and it had a little mud on it...
By the time Gordon, Steve and myself arrived at Luss, at the earlier time of 18:30, it had actually stopped raining. It wasn't long after setting off the rain started again. But besides the rain you have never seen Loch Lomond so eerily quiet. It was lovely. Sunset, not that you could see it, was at 20:24. We arrived back at Luss at 20:23.
I was so glad to get out and paddle and felt so much better for it.
