Although it was neaps, Penrhyn Mawr outer race was rather pleasant with some good surfs to be had.
Middle wasn’t that good for surfing, but good for skills etc. Managed a Reentry roll in the outer flow along with some rolls. My first roll was incredibly slow and I had to pull the boat around with my paddle underwater before setting up. Must empty the air out of dry suit first or remove the detachable hood for my upcoming four star assessment, or both!
After Penrhyn Mawr died off we paddled across to South Stack and had lunch in a good spot below the lighthouse which proved to be good rocky landing practice.
On the way to South Stack I managed to find err land! (a rock) which caused a couple of nicks in the gel coat. Doh! Looks like I am off to Valley next week for repairs.
