Helensburgh morning paddle

Another training paddle out in the Taran. it was a lovely sunny morning for it. I had the wind, tide and swell, all the way to Helensburgh, which made for quick progress. Met the lifeboat setting off for a training exercise. They were being reprimanded on channel 73 by KHM for exceeding the speed limit. haha! As I neared the leisure centre, I spotted Helensburgh Canoe Club setting off. I caught up with them not long after. Had a quick chat with Paddy before setting off across to Rosneath Caravan Park. I was back into the wind and swell and had hoped for better conditions on that side, but it was not to be. So I cut back over to Rhu Spit, bumping into the Rosneath Coastal Rowers in their lovely skiff. Back in Gare Loch, I tried a bit of fishing with my jig setup, but no luck, before heading back to the slipway.

A good bit of exercise
