My Sea Kayak (B)log
Welcome to my Sea Kayak (B)log: saturnbull.co.uk. I log all my Sea Kayak trips on saturnbull rather than use a paper log. This is also makes a good repository for some of my photographs, taken whilst out and about on the water (I've been known to take a few!). I hope you find it interesting and informative. If not then tough!

2023-06-10 Cemlyn Bay into the wind and swell to Camaes, then around Carmel Head – Roller Coaster Sea!
The wind forecast was for a moderate Easterly breeze. For some crazy reason, we decided to head up to the north coast to see how far we could go into the wind from Cemlyn Bay. The flood tide was due to start around 09:40, so we were going to be in wind over tide conditions....Continue reading→

2023-05-05 Helensburgh Sugar Boat in very windy conditions
Friday Lunchtime: I had some time to kill before setting off for home from Dunbartonshire. With it being a public holiday weekend for King Charles Coronation, I didn't see much point setting off at lunchtime, only to hit the holiday traffic below Preston, Manchester and Stoke on the M6. Setting off much later, say after...Continue reading→

The weather forecast for Wednesday was not at all good. Si and I went and took a look at Trearddur Bay and we were not impressed. Very windy, Rain showers, big seas and flat broken waves. Fine if you fancy being bongo'd sideways constantly; but neither of us did. So we chatted to the mad...Continue reading→
2023-04-04 Bull Bay to Camaes
Meeting on a Tuesday for a change, Si and I decided to paddle the North Coast. We love paddling the North Coast of Anglesey, as there is always something to see. Not to mention the large tidal movements you experience along this stretch of coast. High Water (HW) would be at 11:16 am Liverpool, which...Continue reading→
2023-01-29 Trearddur Bay
Sunday, the weather was not looking too promising. The forecast stated conditions would deteriorate with strong winds increasing throughout the day. So, after a hearty breakfast in the Paddlers, we decided to head for Trearddur Bay. Initially, we talked about heading around the coast towards Rhoscolyn, but soon after setting off from the beach, we...Continue reading→
